Gone Fishin'

I posted a preview of Dolce & Gabbana's Summer campaign last week, and now entire campaign has appeared online, and I am loving it. See, who needs Madonna? It was shot by Steven Klein.

Prada does the Cha Cha

Shot by Steven Meisel, Prada's latest campaign takes its inspiration from the fabulous Josephine Baker. While I adore the collection, I am surprised at how dark and shadowy this campaign is. Perhaps to highlight the vibrant clothes on display, but the runway show was so bright and airy, this all seems very tight to me. Having said that, I am loving the banana prints and the whole Cha Cha Cha vibe the models are giving.

See, the runway show was a lot brighter.

McQueen gets carried away....

16 year old (YES!) Lindsay Winson lands another major campaign this season, for Alexander McQueen. Im loving all the symbolism of the butterflies...

La Dolce Vita

Dolce & Gabbana have released their latest S/S11 campaign, shot by Steven Klein. This is there first campaign to feature Madonna since last year, and they are much better because of it, they were in need of a boost of energy, and Klein's high impact photography and a bunch of world class models give a lot of energy to the campaign.

Donatella Delivers!

If you ever thought that tight, skinny, shiney, blingy equals Trashy, then Donatella Versace is here to prove you wrong. The Spring collection for Atelier Versace is just stunning, and screams sex, fashion and red carpet. Everything you would expect from the Versace House. This is fashion!

Pepe Pepe Pepe

Pepe Jeans new campaign features Miss Alexa Chung giving the brand a cooler edge. Its alot better than Pepe's last campaign with Ashton Kutcher and Sienna Miller, they didn't seem very Pepe.

Daphne Guinness' Showcase. Are you dying yet?

via The Cut

Daphne Guinness will exhibit 80 to 100 pieces from her clothing collection at F.I.T.'s museum from September 2011 through January 2012. The exhibit will include pieces by Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Comme des Garçons, Dolce & Gabbana, and Azzedine Alaïa. Better yet, the exhibit will be immortalized in a book by the awfully scholarly sounding Yale University Press, which for now is the closest we'll come to our dream of Daphne Guinness penning her own version of Eat, Pray, Love (by the way, who's excited for THAT movie?). F.I.T.'s chief museum curator will work with Guinness on the exhibit, and plans to highlight Guinness's particular fashion interests, ranging from sleeves and neck ruffles to accessories including hats, veils, and ribbons. Sounds like the Met's Costume Institute has some serious competition. Let's hope F.I.T.'s won't include the same long lines and feelings of claustrophobia

Oh my God I love this woman so much, this is all adding to my move to New York and live the dream dream of mine! I'm there.

She Works Hard For The Money!

Now im an obsessive Madonna fan, but I'll happily dance her music (usually after a few shots). She gets a lot of stick but she does look pretty great in these ads, I really do like her in the new Dolce & Gabbana campaign. It has a great Desperate Housewives Italia vibe. I dig it. Shot by the one and only Steven Klein.
