2nd Hand Happiness!

If you've read this blog before, you'll know by now that my favourite past time is rummaging through all my local 2nd hand shops, I see nothing wrong with owning someone else's belongs, especially if you can get them for a fraction of the price. Like The Works of Chris Cunningham, which I picked up for €3, that would be 1/11 of what was originally paid for it. Same with the Flight of the Conchords. And 3 really interesting looking frames, too my total to ten euro. Not bad, if I do say so myself. Now all I need to do is find some great images to put in the frames, and Im all set.

Art without Limits!

When you think of fearless artists, Grace Jones and Chris Cunningham would usually come to mind. I can't believe this is my first time see this amazing editorial from Dazed & Confused magazine. I saw Grace at Electric Picnic 08 and the performance was so brilliantly mental. 40 minutes late. Different Philip Tracey hat for each song. it was just such fun, made friends with a woman called Barbara who ran the creps van, I meet her the next night and she gave me a free pancake. anyways love the body modification and Grace's transformation in these shots.

ALL is full of LOVE

One of my favorite music videos of all time is Chris Cunningham's masterpiece interpretation of Bjork's All Is Full Of Love. Below is a quick making of segment, and I think what made the video so genius is both artists admiration and respect for each other. In the making of video Bjork talks about not wanting to interfer with the post-production of the video, while Chris talks about how working with Bjork made him want to work harder and make the best video possible, which I think he really suceeded in doing.

Chris Cunningham for Gucci

I love these print ads for the new Gucci Fragrance, Flora. Abbey Lee Kershaw is in both the print adverts and the commercial shot, which was directed by the amazing Chris Cunningham (who directed Bjork's all is full of love music video and all of Aphex Twin's videos, he's also doing a live show at EP this year).
