Fantastic Mr. Dahl

Growing up one of my most tresured posessions was my Roald Dahl book collect, it was a set of his greatest works, and I spent my childhood reading them. Fantastic Mr. Fox being my favourite.

So to celebrate his wonderful work, the British Post Office has announced a series of stamps in his honour, complete with illustrations from the equally talented Quentin Blake.

Stamp of Approval!

I LOVE Pixar. Well come on, I suppose who doesn't love their films these days. And yes, I am not so naive to admit that they are part of the Disney consumer monster, but I believe they are storytellers firstly, above anything else. They make us happy.

I got UP! and Toy Story 3 for Christmas, we watched UP! on Christmas day and I held back the tears, and we have yet to watch Toy Story 3, maybe this weekend.

Anyways the US postal service also must like their films, because some of Pixar's classics have been given their own stamps, quite an achievement for a animation studio.

Wanna lick John Rocha?

An Post have gone and created a stamp collection that is actually really cool. Not a bird or badger in sight.

Six of Ireland's most talented designers, Lainey Keogh, Orla Kiely, Louise Kennedy, John Rocha, Paul Costello and Philip Treacy, are featured in a limited edition series of fashionable stamps.

What a great way to jazz up a boring old brown envelope...
