Who Run The World?

Obviously that it as rhetorical question, because everyone knows that it is Queen B, who runs the world...

When I heard that a female global superstar would be headlining one of the nights of Oxegen, I knew straight away that a) It was going to be Beyonce, and b) I had to be there! Mostly because I'm almost sure that after the Summer Jay-Z is gonna knock her up, and she won't be touring again for a few years, so I figured lets go she her whilst I still can.

Her set at Oxegen was spectacular. Her voice carried over the enormous crowd, and kept her legions of fans entertained all throughout her set.

The set itself was a fantastic mix of anthems, ballads, and heritage, as she belted out some of Destiny's Child's greatest hits, much to the delight of her fans, myself included. As a performer she is like no other. From complex dance routines, to her crowd interaction and participation (To the left, to the left!) she is top of her game.
(She also seemed to be genuinely bemused, and somewhat flattered by the 60k crowd chanting "Whoop, DAT ASS!")

Admittedly after the show my only regret was that I hadn't watched her at Glastonbury three weeks earlier, while she was equally incredible both night, the setlist was pretty much the same, so her show to me wasn't as surprising, as to someone who hadn't seen any of her previous Summer performances. Someone like my mate Alan, who turned to be at the beginning of every song, to tell me the title. "Single Ladies", "Girls", "Jumpin' Jumpin'", "SURVIVOR!". I was like I know Alan, calm down love...

Even material from her new album, 4, had the audience spellbound, and impressively singing along to Best Thing I Never Had, and entranced as she sang 1+1.

I don't know much about AL-GER-BRUH either Beyonce, but I do know you put on one hell of a show at Oxegen, 2011...

Who Run The World?

I have to admit I wasn't totally blown away with Beyonce's new single, Girls. I do admire her for using the Major Lazer sampling and having Diplo produce, but I think the finished product was a bit all over the place.

What I did enjoy was the video, especially the never ending Couture that seemed to come shot after shot... Looking stylin' B.

You've been a very bad girl Gaga!

I told ya she didn't have a dick.

Ya I know I'm bias but there is no other artist out there that is even comes close to constantly producing such great music videos, and great songs and even better stage productions for that matter! She has here vision and she follows it through until the very end, and that's why I love Lady Gaga.

And not like it has to be said but Beyonce is her usual fierce self in the video.

I think my favourite part about the film was the "To Be Continued" frames at the end. I can wait to see what Gaga and Honey B get up to next...

you're not gonna reach my telephone

The music video was filmed January 28, 2010 by director Jonas Ã…kerlund.[25][26] New York magazine reported that the concept of the video involved Beyoncé bailing Gaga out of jail. Published photos from the set portrayed Gaga and Beyoncé shooting for scenes of the video in the truck that Uma Thurman's character drove in Quentin Tarantino's 2003–2004 film Kill Bill, called the "Pussy Wagon". The video was shot outside Los Angeles on January 28, 2010 in Lancaster, California.[27] Other concepts of the video involves scenes at a diner, a cameo from singer Tyrese Gibson, and a prison shower scene. Gaga and Beyoncé will wear "destroyed denim pieces" by designers Frank Fernández and Oscar Olima.

On February 5, 2010, Gaga had an interview on KIIS-FM with Ryan Seacrest. She explained that the video is a continuation of the video for "Paparazzi", and like "Paparazzi", it will be a short film. The video picks up where "Paparazzi" left off; she's in jail for killing her boyfriend, but she's actually having a good time behind bars and doesn't want to leave. She is constantly getting phone calls, but refuses to take any until she gets the call she wants.[29] She further commented on the video saying, "I feel so bad for the ‘Bad Romance’ video ’cause the ‘Telephone’ video’s so much better. What I like about it is it’s a real true pop event, and when I was younger, I was always excited when there was a big giant event happening in pop music and that’s what I wanted this to be."[30] Semi Precious Weapons confirmed to MTV news that they have a cameo in the music video. They also revealed that in the video they die. The band's frontman, Justin Tranter announced, "Yeah, we are in the 'Telephone' video and we die in it, [...] And I think that's probably all I'm allowed to tell ... And, I think, what people have already talked about: It's very Tarantino-inspired, sort of like violent melodrama glamour."

On February 15, 2010, three film stills from the music video were posted on Gaga's website. The stills depict Gaga in three separate scenes: a kitchen scene where she wears a plastic chef's hat and a telephone made entirely of hair on her head and a wire across her head , a scene in a diner with her dancers where she is seen wearing a bikini and bandanna made from an American flag, and a black and white photo of Gaga wearing a hat made from multiple triangles, and corded telephones.[32] Originally, the video was slated to premiere in February 2010[33] but was pushed back to March 2010 instead.[34][35] Exactly one month after filming ended, Gaga announced on Twitter that the video "is coming", she explained that the video is not yet released because it is still being edited and that she wants it to be perfect.[36] The video will premiere on E! News on Thursday, March 11, 2010

POP ART

A few more promos for Gaga's highly antisipated video with Beyonce, Telephone. At first I wasn't sure of the yellow hair, but in these shots she looks like a Roy Lichtenstein painting, suppose Gaga is the closest thing we have to living pop art!

Gagoncé Overload!

Beyonce must be pissed! You know I love Lady Gaga but her contribution to Beyonce's Video Phone is less than her usual highGLAM standard... I did hear her say in an interview a while back that she had 3 days to write and record her 6 lines but still...

On the other hand Queen B kills it on Lady Gaga's track rumoured 2nd single Telephone, as does Gaga herself! Its kinda like a sequel to Just Dance,

Out in the club,
and I’m sippin’ that bub,
and you’re not gonna reach my telephone!

Anyways major GAGONCÉ Love!

Beyonce in a Koma

Did anybody bother watching the EMAs Thursday night? if you missed it, don't worry cause you did not MISS anything. Katy Perry went abit insane for the second half of the show, Bono tried to rap, Queen B (in David Koma) won a bunch of awards and thanked Shakira, cause theyre BFFs and that was really about it. Oh and i found out that the lead singer from Tokio Hotel is a boy. not a girl. who knew.
