Natalie Portman attends the opening of her new film, Black Swan, at the Venice Film Festival, wearing Rodarte.

I love the dress, Natalie has been wearing Rodarte for many years, and considering that they designed the ballerina costumes for the film, it is only fitting that Ms. Portman would wear Rodarte to the film's premiere.

What I couldn't figure out was why she's carrying that awful Dior clutch? Its not that awful, but it does not go with the dress, and cheapens the whole look. And then I found out that Natalie is the new face of Dior, and the mystery is solved, Red Carpet Poitics, which is quite sad really...

Ah well, at the end of the day it's a great dress and she's still Natalie Portman, so its not all bad.

Ugly Duckling...

No, Natalie Portman is getting ready for another Star Wars sequel, but Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, a psychological thriller set in the world of ballet. With a bit of Meg Griffin and lesbianism throw in too for good measure.


The film's swan costumes were created by the Rodarte Sisters, and from the looks of things they definitely keep in line with the sinister tones of the movie.

Black Swan will have limited release on December 1st.
