Pop Up!
This week's Le Cool cover was created by graphic designers Catherine Robertson and Louise Gaffney. The finished result is great, but what was more interesting was the Making of video, and to see how the two girls worked, and their thought process. Fascinating stuff.

Friday!
Tickets booked for the Luxury Screen at the Eye Cinema in Galway. If you're gonna do it, might as well do it in style.
Speaking of doing it in style, above is a new one sheet, created for Empire magazine, but by favourite current designer, Olly Moss.

This is SPARTAAAA!

You'd hardly think that by looking at this blog as of late that it is actually a design blog! Well I suppose thats the great thing about design, inspiration can come from anywhere!
As for today's inspiration it is definitely this fantastic logo for The Spartan Golf Club. Like all the great logs, its simple, clever and eyecatching!
Speaking of golfing, George Clooney's next project looks very interesting!

Little Print Shop of Horrors

Yes, there has been a lot, and I mean A LOT, of minimalist movie posters hovering around the design blog scene this past year (Blame Olly Moss) but these Halloween inspired prints are particularly sweet.
Agency Creative Spark have produces six prints on their favourite scary films. The prints cost £10 each, with all profits raised going to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
You can buy the prints HERE

Thirsty?
Amazing, and unfortunately not real, beer bottles, for what would sure be an awesome success if it were real beer, BGM-10, or Black Market Goods. So Clever.

Absolut Beauties...
As part of ABSOLUT Fringe 2011, Dublin based agency The Small Print enrolled a host of image makers (including Ben Newman, Dalek, Linda Brownlee, Niels Shoe Meulman, Rilla Alexander (Rinzen) and The London Police) to each customise an eight-foot tall Absolut bottle. The bottles are being exhibited in Dublin's South Studios until Monday September 12, but in case you can't make it to the show...
...The Small Print has sent us images of all the completed giant bottle designs, as well as some work in progress shots of the project taking shape in a big warehouse over the course of a week. While the idea of customising drinks bottles with art is by no means a new concept, these hand-adorned giant bottles look really great.
From Creative Review's Blog, its nice to see Ireland, and Irish design getting a little attention...

AIT DESIGNERS

So last week I was able to go up to Athlone and check out the AIT Design Exhibition, my former Classmates that were in the four year program were partaking in the design show, and it did not disappoint...
There was both Print work, and multimedia videos and websites on display. My particular favourite was Elaine Sexton's video on the lost art of letter writing, and Sam Sutton's impressive Illustrations...

Clever Bags
I love these bags, I'm a big believer in using every available resource you have when it comes to packaging and branding, so why not use the bag in a creative way.
